Cugir hydropower development is situated upstream of Canciu Dam, on both Cugir and Bosorog rivers, but also on Sipcii Valley, an affluent of Bosorog river. On Cugir river, there is one water intake, P1C and one powerhouse, MHC C2, on the section between the confluence with Caldarii valley and the confluence with Bosorog river. On Bosorog river there is one water intake, P2C and a second powerhouse, MHC C1, on the section between the confluence with Untului valley and the confluence with Cugir river. A secondary water intake was placed on Sipcii valley, an affluent of Bosorog river.
