Budac II hydropower development is located on Budac river, the powerhouse located upstream the confluence with Blidireasa creek.

The project consists of one water intake, one section of penstock and one small hydropower plant.

The water intake is situated at an altitude of 730,50 meters above sea level and it was designed to take over an installed flow of 1,80 m3/s.

The penstock is made out of GRP with a diameter of 1.100 mm and a total length of 4.260 m.

The power plant is situated at an altitude of 592,00 meters above sea level and it is equipped with a Pelton turbine, which was dimensioned for an installed flow of 1,80 m3/s and a total head of 138 m. The equipment was designed to develop an installed power of about 2,00 MW and it will produce energy of about 7.350 MWh/year.
