Drăgan hydropower development is situated upstream of Drăgan Dam, on both Drăgan and Crăciun rivers. On Drăgan river, there are two water intakes, P1D and Ps and one powerhouse, CHEMP D1 on the section between the confluence with Moara Dracului valley and the confluence with Crăciun river. On Crăciun river there is one water intake, P1C and a second powerhouse, CHEMP D2 is located at the confluence between Crăciun and Drăgan rivers.
