Rehabilitation and refurbishment of existing hydropower developments

Preparing an existing hydropower development for another live cycle involves interventions on its structure, degraded during its exploitation, but also measures concerning an increase in efficiency of the equipment.

Our company has qualified personnel, able to provide technical projects regarding the structural rehabilitation of the components of a hydropower development (water intake, dam, penstock,power house, compensatory basin). The rehabilitation of an existing work starts with revealing the current state of the structural system and continues with establishing the intervention measures and their design.

As far as the refurbishment goes, first we analyze the technical state of the equipment. In most of the cases, we find out that the life cycle is outdated, the physical and moral wear are advanced, therefore we have to decide upon either improving or replacing them with modern, more efficient gear.
